Hello SWEeties!
Welcome to campus, new freshmen and transfers! Welcome back, upperclassmen! I’m so excited for another wonderful year with Stanford SWE. First off, our website has been revamped, so take a look around for new information on events, scholarships, etc. Also, don’t forget to keep up-to-date using our Stanford SWE Google calendar. General meetings and upcoming events are also posted on the right hand side of the home page for your convenience. –>
For those of you who are new to Stanford SWE, you may be wondering: What is Stanford SWE? What do we do? And how will joining SWE benefit you? Please find us at Activities Fair or come to our SWE Info Session on Wednesday, September 30, 12:00-1:00 pm, in Terman 556 so we can tell you all about it!

For freshmen and sophomores that are interested in becoming more involved in SWE, apply to be an intern! It’s a great opportunity for you to contribute to event planning, learn more about being an officer, and get to know an amazing groups of girls! Applications are available here and are due Wednesday, October 7 at 12:00 pm. You can email them to stanfordswe@gmail.com or submit a hard copy at our lunch meeting in Terman 556.
We’re also launching our Big Sib Lil Sib Mentor Program, which is for all undergraduates looking for a graduate peer mentor. Read more about it and sign up!
Finally, we would also like to invite you to our first SWEturday Meet and Greet! You can meet the Officer Core and ask them questions about SWE, Stanford, academic life, social life, and even the meaning of life! If you’re applying to be an intern, this is also a great way for you to ask about each position too. It will be on Saturday, October 10, time and place TBA.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at nle@stanford.edu. Have a great quarter!
Best Wishes,
Nanette Le
